Title I, Part A is one of the many federal programs in the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Title I, Part A provides formula grants to districts. Districts then allocate funds to Title I schools based on their number of low-income children. The district must use Title I funds only in schools that have been selected for services through allowable procedures. Funds are used to improve student achievement in high poverty schools. The Title I, Part A Handbook contains comprehensive information about all Title I requirements for districts and schools.
For assistance regarding Title I, please contact any of the federal programs staff at (502) 564-3791: Christina Benassi, Claude Christian, Phillip Daugherty, Daniel Davison, Judith Littleton, Mary Marshall, Brenda McEntyre, David Millanti, Neil Watts, Vicki Fosbender, Frank Crossman or Donna Tackett at (502) 564-3791
