Health Services Reference Guide (HSRG)

The Health Services Reference Guide (HSRG) for Kentucky is developed in accordance with KRS 156.501 and  KRS 156.502,  The guide defines health services as "the provision of direct health care, including the administration of medication, the operation and maintenance of health care through the use of medical equipment, or the administration of clinical procedures.  Health services does not include first aid or emergency procedures." 

 

The Health Services Reference Guide (HSRG) is a resource for school districts as they develop and implement policies and procedures related to school health. The HSRG includes guidelines, definitions and sample forms for the provision of school health services. 

 

A copy of the Health Services Reference Guide is to be kept in each school library as required by KRS 156.501.
