The Kentucky Teacher of the Year is selected through a process that includes three elements:
1) Judging of applications.
2) Observation of finalists in the classroom.
3) Oral interviews of finalists.
Teachers must have three years of classroom experience to be considered. Both self-nominations and nominations by other are welcomed.
Applications must be postmarked no later than June 30, 2011.
