Magnifier, part of the Ease of Access center in Windows 7, can magnify all or part of your screen.

Magnifying allows you to briefly increase the size of the object on the screen instead of changing the entire screen resolution just to view a few lines of fine print.

The magnifier can be used in three different modes:

- In full-screen mode, the whole screen is magnified. Depending on the size of the screen and the zoom level, some of what you were looking at may be off the screen.

- In lens mode, the area around the mouse pointer is magnified. The area of the screen that’s magnified moves along with the pointer.

- In docked mode, only the portion of the screen you select is magnified, leaving the rest of the desktop unchanged.
