Many STLP schools use a lapel pin to enhance and market their program. The lapel pins may be given to students during the school's award program or after gaining Gold or Silver status at State Championship.
The first STLP lapel pin was developed by Jacob Elementary School in Jefferson County, Peter Bohne, STLP coordinator. The original pin and logo were a different type than the current STLP letter lapel pin.
There are three types of pins.
1. The black/red pin is shown to the right. The words: Student Technology Leadership Program are not on the small pin, only the letters STLP. All schools may order the black and red lapel pin.
Schools which earn GOLD or SILVER School Status, may order gold and silver STLP lettered pins.
2. The Silver pin with silver STLP letters is the second pin.
3. The third pins is the Gold pin with gold letters, which can be ordered by a gold school only.

Schools may order pins ONCE a year. Order by the end of March of each year. It may take 4-6 weeks.
